About MPH Intermediate School

Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School (MPH) in Lake Arrowhead, California, is named after Mary Putnam Henck, a trailblazing educator who was one of Los Angeles’ first female vice principals and Lake Arrowhead’s very first teacher. Her passion for education lives on at MPH, which is especially well known for its long-standing and celebrated music program within the Rim of the World Unified School District.

Located in the heart of the San Bernardino Mountains, MPH has proudly served our community since 1980. The goal of our school is to give students a good education in a safe and caring place where they are encouraged to grow personally, academically, and creatively.

Getting involved with the PTA can take many forms, and every level of participation matters. Your involvement makes a real and visible difference for our organization and the students at MPH.

Joining the PTA does not obligate you to volunteer or come to meetings. But your membership allows the PTA to function as a non-profit. And you’ll be in the loop about what’s happening at MPH and in the PTA.

Every donation is greatly appreciated and directly funds programs and events at MPH. Gifts can come in many forms: maybe you have sports tickets we could auction off or a landscaping business that could help on campus.

As a volunteer-run organization, volunteer time is one of our most valuable resources. Many tasks are a small time commitment and can be done outside school hours. Join a committee, chaperone, or help plan an event.

Can you connect the PTA to new supporters, potential sponsors, or additional resources? Can you help apply for grant opportunities or discover new sources of funding? Your connections can make a huge difference!

PTA is constantly searching for new ideas for programs and events or fundraisers. We need big-idea people who can take things in new directions with unique ways to support MPH and our students. We want to hear from you!
